According to the press release, the project, dubbed Optimis, is a three-year, $14 million project that aims to develop a set of tools to improve interactions and transactions in cloud computing. September 30, 2011 -- Technology giant Google announced on Friday it will build a new green data center in Dublin, Ireland, following its purchase of 11 acres of land and an existing building on Profile Park. The company said it will invest about $101 million to complete the new data center, which will expand on its existing Dublin data center space that is leased from a third party.
